The Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India launched the CRCS Sahara Refund Portal on 18 July 2023 under the directions of the Supreme Court of India to return deposited money to genuine investors of Sahara Group Cooperative Societies. Millions of people across India had their money stuck in these societies for years — this portal finally gives them a direct, digital path to reclaim it.
The official portal is hosted at mocrefund.crcs.gov.in under the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS). The refund process is fully online — no need to visit any office or agent. As of July 23, 2025, over ₹5,139.23 crore has already been refunded to 27,33,520 depositors. The claim deadline has been extended till December 31, 2025.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?
Any person who deposited money in any of the following four Sahara Group Cooperative Societies before the cutoff dates is eligible to claim a refund:

Note: Your Aadhaar must be linked to both your mobile number and your bank account before applying. Without this, the refund cannot be processed.

How to Register on Sahara Refund Portal 2025
- Go to the official portal: mocrefund.crcs.gov.in/depositor/
- Click on “Depositor Registration” on the homepage
- Enter the last 4 digits of your Aadhaar number and your Aadhaar-linked mobile number
- Enter the Captcha code and click “Get OTP”
- Enter the OTP received on your mobile and click “Verify OTP”
- Registration is now complete — you can proceed to login

- Enter the last 4 digits of Aadhaar, your mobile number, and the Captcha

How to Apply Online for Sahara Refund 2025
- Complete Registration and Login on the portal (steps above)
- Click on “Apply Online” from your dashboard
- Select the respective Sahara cooperative society’s name from the list
- Enter your Membership Number, Receipt Number, Account Number and Deposit Amount
- Upload required documents — investment certificate / passbook and PAN (if claim > ₹50,000)
- If you invested in more than one society, submit all claims using a single form
- Review all details carefully before final submission
- Submit the form — note down your Claim Request Number for future tracking
- Refund will be credited directly to your Aadhaar-linked bank account within 45 working days
